Forres Community Football Trust aims to build an artificial, all-weather football pitch for Forres.
The Trust is a collaboration of 12 like-minded groups who want to ensure that the town is not left behind with regard to sport/football development.
Forres is the only town in Moray not to have such a facility.
Funding for this project is well underway with £46,000 being secured by Moray Council for the facility from developer obligations, with £77,000 expected to be received from larger developments within the area in the future.
It is expected the total cost of putting the pitch in place will be around £700,000 with annual maintenance costs expected to be around £10,000.
